What is Waqf and why does it matter?

Waqf is an Islamic sadaqah endowment. A gift that keeps giving. Unlike a one-time sadaqah, a Waqf continues to earn you reward for as long as it benefits others. It is one of the most powerful forms of Sadaqah Jariyah in Islam.
