1. Who we are. This website (muslimsreads.com) is operated by Muslim Reads Ltd, registered in England & Wales (company no. 16304288), registered office 2803 Pan Peninsula Square, London E14 9HQ. We are the data controller for your information. Contact: emuslimreads@gmail.com.

2. What we collect.

  • Contact & order details (name, email, address, phone, what you ordered)
  • Account details and preferences, if you create an account
  • Dedication & beneficiary names you add to a gift, Waqf or sacrifice — including a living loved one or someone who has passed away
  • Faith context: because of what we sell, your order may indicate your religion — we treat this as sensitive
  • Proof media: photos/videos of distributions in Makkah & Madinah that we create and send you
  • Reviews & messages you send or post (e.g. a Judge.me review, a WhatsApp/email)
  • Device & usage data (IP, browser, pages viewed) via cookies — see our Cookie Policy

3. How we use it, and our legal basis.

  • Fulfil your order, send confirmations, certificates and proof, give support — to perform our contract with you
  • Put dedication/beneficiary names on certificates & proof — to provide the service you asked for; where this reveals religion or similar, we rely on your explicit consent, given when you place the order and add the dedication
  • Send marketing and show relevant ads — with your consent, withdrawable anytime
  • Keep the site secure, prevent fraud, improve our service — our legitimate interests
  • Meet legal & tax duties — legal obligation

4. Dedication & beneficiary names. When you dedicate an order to someone, you confirm you're happy for us to use that name on your certificate and proof. We never use beneficiary names for marketing.

5. Marketing & cookies. We only market to you if you opt in, and every message has an unsubscribe. For UK/EU visitors we ask consent before setting non-essential cookies (Meta Pixel, Google, Klaviyo). Full detail in our Cookie Policy.

6. Who we share with. Trusted providers acting for us: Shopify (store/checkout/payments), our payment processors, Klaviyo (email/SMS), Meta & Google (ads/analytics), Judge.me (reviews), Order Printer Pro (certificates), our WhatsApp support tool, and our own team in Makkah & Madinah who carry out and film your order. We do not sell your personal information. We share with authorities only if the law requires it.

7. Sending data outside the UK. Some providers and our ground team are outside the UK — including the United States and Saudi Arabia. Where we transfer your information abroad, we use appropriate safeguards (the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent standard protections).

8. How long we keep it. Order & certificate records: as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal/tax duties (generally up to 7 years). Marketing data: until you unsubscribe. Proof media: only as long as needed to deliver and evidence your order.

9. Your rights. You can ask to access, correct, delete, limit or object to the use of your data, get a copy, or withdraw consent — email emuslimreads@gmail.com and we'll reply within one month. You can also complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.

10. Children. Our store isn't aimed at children and we don't knowingly collect their data.
