Why this matters

Every journey is written for the one it was placed for.

Elderly and unwell pilgrims cannot walk the long distances of Tawaf and Sa'i. Your wheelchair carries them to prayer — and the reward of every single journey continues for as long as it is used.

إِذَا مَاتَ ابْنُ آدَمَ انْقَطَعَ عَمَلُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ ثَلَاثِ: صَدَقَةِ جَارِيَةِ...

“When a person dies, their deeds end except three: ongoing charity, knowledge that benefits, or a righteous child who prays for them.”

Sahih Muslim · 1631

Where do pilgrims collect it?

The official free wheelchair service of Al-Haram

Your wheelchair joins the Haram's own wheelchair service — the point where elderly and unwell pilgrims collect a chair without charge, every day and night. That is where it serves, and keeps serving.

Who is it for?

Completed on behalf of the one you choose

Your Waqf is dedicated and fulfilled on behalf of the name you enter — a mother, a father, someone who has passed away, or yourself. The dedication carries in your certificate, your film, and the reward of every journey.

What happens on placement day?

From our hands to the Haram's

Morning — the Waqf is prepared, dedicated on behalf of your beneficiary, and filmed.
Handover — the wheelchair is delivered to the official service intake.
Same day — it enters the rows, and the first pilgrim is carried.

How long does the reward continue?

Sadaqah Jariyah — that keeps flowing

As long as the wheelchair is used, the reward continues for the name it carries — whether you are here or not. That is the meaning of an ongoing sadaqah: you place it once, and it keeps giving.

Honest answers

Questions people ask us

Who uses the wheelchair?

Pilgrims and elderly worshippers inside Masjid Al-Haram who could not otherwise reach the prayer — carried to salah by your Waqf, day after day, for years.

Is the wheelchair left permanently in Masjid Al-Haram?

Yes — it is placed inside Masjid Al-Haram as a Waqf and remains there in service, carrying worshippers to prayer for as long as it lasts. It is not a loan and not a one-off use.

How much does it cost to place a wheelchair Waqf in Makkah?

One wheelchair Waqf costs £127.00 — complete, with placement, filmed proof and your certificate included. There are no additional costs.

What happens after I place my order?

Your wheelchair is placed inside Masjid Al-Haram by our team. Waqf placements are carried out during our regular distribution rounds, and once completed, your certificate and media proof are sent by email. You can verify your order any time on our Verify page.

Can I do this for someone who has passed away?

Yes — this is one of the most common intentions we carry. Select "Deceased" with their name, and the Waqf is completed on their behalf, its reward reaching them as ongoing Sadaqah Jariyah, in sha' Allah.

Can I do this for someone who is unwell?

Yes. Choose "Seeking shifa" when adding their name, and our team makes du'a (دعاء) for their healing as your Waqf is fulfilled on their behalf.

Whose name is on the waqf?

Your certificate carries the name of the beneficiary you choose, and the fulfilment is completed on their behalf.

Will I receive proof?

Yes, always. Our team films your fulfilment and emails it to you with a signed certificate in your beneficiary's name — it's part of how MuslimsReads works, not an extra.
